Nikol'skoye Chrystal Works was a private glass factory in Penza province owned by the Bakhmetiev family. The factory was the only one who could measure up to the quality of the Imperial Glass Factory in St Petersburg.
Alexander Verhinin was in charge of the artistic and technical works at the factory 1795-1822. The factory remained in the Bakhmetiev family through three generations until 1884, when the ownership passed on to Prince Obolensky.
