EMANUEL RÖHSS, "EXTERIOR, DAWN, GLENDOVER AVE, TAKE I"
Akryl på duk 170x200 cm.
Utförd 2017.
In his practice Emanuel Röhss explore the relationship between architectures from historical as well as contemporary civilization and the creation of illusion and narrative in popular culture. Röhss is interested in manmade environments between which an imperative pathos, gesture or persona can be traced and identified as re-appearing throughout different contexts. In his long term project with the Ennis House by Frank Lloyd Wright in L.A. he has explored how a piece of real architecture comes to life as an animate being in its own right through the production of fiction in film, TV and games. Working predominantly in sculpture, installation and painting each body of work is made with careful consideration to the space it occupies.
