Övrig information

With great joy and gratitude, Bukowskis has been entrusted with the honorable task of selling the estate of the late Heidi Broström. It is a collection of treasures, some of the finest we’ve ever had the privilege of representing. In addition to this, we’ve had the pleasure of counting Heidi Broström as a valued customer for many years. Her kind demeanor and, not least, her knowledge of the beautiful home she inherited after her husband Dan Axel Broström’s passing left a lasting impression on us. Her expertise in furniture, Orrefors glass, modern art, and everything that surrounded her was remarkable. Heidi Broström originally hailed from Canada and met Dan-Axel Broström, the CEO of the now legendary Broström Shipping Lines, during a trip to Acapulco. They resided for many years in a magnificent villa in the Lorensberg villa area in central Gothenburg. After Dan-Axel’s passing in 1974, Heidi Broström relocated to their shared summer villa in the exclusive Särö. Heidi Broström found herself in the role of Gothenburg’s leading lady. In her home, she hosted meticulously planned dinners, with table settings always bearing Heidi’s signature elegance and aesthetic sensibility. The profusion of flowers was consistently striking, and many of the flowers came from Heidi’s own garden. Those who knew her well speak of her immense generosity, kindness, and her warm and genuine nature. Combined with her wonderful mix of Swedish and English (Swenglish) that stayed with her throughout her life, she became a highly esteemed personality. During her final days, she was surrounded by her closest friends, all of whom assisted her in ensuring that her dog was well cared for, and most importantly, that the social bonds she had always cherished were maintained./Arne Pineus
