Stämplad på baksidan Ving Tai Portrait Maker. Målad dekor föreställande vy över Kanton, stadssiluetten med de olika ländernas faktorier, samt kyrkan och intensiv aktivitet i hamnen. Man ser flaggor så som den Amerikanska, Franska, Engelska och Danska vaja i vinden. Motivets mått 45x77 cm. Mått med ram 58x90 cm.

The frames are of the type 'chinese chippendale', used during the mid 19th Century from 1830-1880.
The land for the church was purchased in May 1847, and the church was erected shortly thereafter, this helps us date the painting.
