Mai-Thu Perret lives and works in Geneva. Her art picks up on a specific tendency in modernism, namely the Russian women constructivist artists. The modernist visual idiom was easy to translate into patterns for utility items and everyday objects in the traditional female domain. As a tribute to and reminder of these pioneers, Mai-Thu Perret has retrieved and recycled patterns. Represented by Galerie Francesca Pia.
