The specialist's choice – Lisa Gartz shares her favourites from the upcoming sale

Specialist's choice Lisa Gartz

We have spoken to Lisa Gartz, Head Specialist Silver and Sculpture Department, about this spring's upcoming auction Important Spring Sale. She took the opportunity to highlight some of her personal favourites in the sale.

What can we look forward to in this spring's sale?

Don’t miss the silver-gilt bowl by Nicolaus Breuman from the 1670s, which with its claw and bowl feet stands in beautiful contrast to the otherwise smooth surface of the bowl and lid. Among the Baroque objects, there is also a personal favourite, a sílver tankard with rich decoration of nymphs and tritons on the mantle, made in the 1630s Augsburg. There are some exquisite objects from the elegant Rococoperiod, such as the coffee pot by Petter Kleen from Ystad, made in 1761. From the 1830s we have the slender ewer by Odiot in Paris, where the handle is shaped like a swan.
In this spring's auction, there are objects by both Swedish and foreign silversmiths and some very rare and magnificent pieces.

I invite you all to come by and have a look and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. You can email or call me, and we will find a time that suits you. Welcome!
