Emma Soyer, née Jones, was a painter, and one of her works, depicting two black girls (painted for the slavery abolitionist cause in Britain), was recently identified by Philip Mould on the BBC programme "Fake or Fortune?". Her portrait of Alexis Soyer is still in the collection of the Reform club.
