Settled in 1962

Barbro & Lars Andersson Collection
Barbro Andersson was only 24 years old when she acquired the property by Djulösjön outside Katrineholm in Södermanland. The modern house she and her husband Lars eventually built was strongly influenced by Danish modernist architecture that the young couple met in Denmark and Skåne and fell in love with. In 1979, it was time for them to build the house of their dreams. The very design-loving couple filled the house with exciting form and design, an interest that came to follow them over the years.
Already in 1962, they bought the three iconic PK25 armchairs, designed by Poul Kjaerholm and which in the new home were placed directly in the eye-catcher just inside the entrance.

Already the following year, the pair "Scimitar armchairs" by Fabricius & Kastholm were bought and then they continued with Arne Norell's "Ari" and "Inka" along with other exciting designer objects, especially Italian lamps.

Josef Frank said that a home should never be finished and it also seems to have been this family's guiding light. The latest furniture was purchased for the home in the early 2000s.
The collection will be sold at three auctions this autumn. At a Theme auction online, in parts at the live auction Contemporary Art & Design on 2 November and also at the Modern Art + Design auction on 17-18 November
