Specialists choice Björn Extergren
We have spoken with Björn Extergren, Specialist Antique Furniture, Decorative Arts and Asian Ceramics, who talks about the selection at this spring's Important Spring Sale. He also takes the opportunity to list some of his favourite objects among the substantial selection in this spring's auction.
What can we look forward to in this spring's Important Spring Sale auction?
We will see a wonderful collection of furniture and works of art of the best quality. The auction spans över four centuries, which is unique. It includes Swedish history, royal objects and world design with quality in all details.
How should you think if you want to start collecting antiques?
First, think with your heart. Then think; quality, quality, quality. Understand what is behind an object, what you can do with it to put it in your context and your home. As a specialist, one of the most enjoyable things is discussing and talking about these matters with customers.
What makes works of art and antiques so interesting to you?
The most exciting thing about my field is the history, the background and the fantastic craftsmanship. Sweden is truly unique with its incredibly high quality in the skilled craftsmanship as well as the design of its antique objects. We have been, and still are, a pioneering country within this area.
Feel free to look through our web catalogue and do not hesitate to stop by for a viewing. You can also email or call me, and we will find a time that suits you. Welcome!
