Wilhelm Kåge F492

Bukowskis presents a collection of ceramics from Wilhelm Kåge’s popular series “Argenta”.

Wilhelm Kåge was a Swedish artist, painter, and ceramist, most renowned for his work at the Gustavsberg porcelain factory where he served as artistic director from 1917 to 1949. During the Stockholm Exhibition of 1930, Kåge introduced Gustavsberg's future sales success, known as "Argenta," a series of objet d'art primarily glazed in green but also in red, blue, brown, and celadon green, adorned with various silver decorations based on Kåge's sketches. Argenta gained significant popularity and continued to be manufactured until the 1970s.
