Bukowskis has been given the honourable task of auctioning off the estate of Heidi Boyce Broström at the Important Winter Sale. The collection includes an exceptional collection of jewels, silver and Asian furniture and works of art with provenance from the Broström family.
Heidi's friendly manners and knowledge of the beautiful objects in the home of her and her late husband, Dan-Axel Broström, made a big impression on us. Her knowledge of furniture, Orrefors, modern art and other objects that surrounded her was truly impressive. Heidi Boyce Broström originally came from Canada and met Dan-Axel Broström, managing director of the now legendary Broströmrederierna, on a trip to Acapulco.
The Broström couple lived for many years in a magnificent villa in Lorensberg in central Gothenburg. After Dan-Axel died in 1976, Heidi Broström moved to their summer villa on the exclusive Särö. Heidi Broström found herself in her role as Gothenburg's leading lady. In her home, she offered dinners that were always well-planned and the table settings always had Heidi's touch of elegance. The floral arrangements were always striking and often the flowers came from Heidi's garden.
Those who knew her testify to her great generosity, kindness and easy and sincere manners, with her wonderful "Swenglish" accent.
