An exclusive collection of art jewellery from Italy
“The most important museum of contemporary art” – a quote by Andy Warhol from the 1980s when he considered the Bulgari head office in Rome to be one of the most significant sites of contemporary art.
Bulgari is noted for their bold jewellery and daring colour combinations and in the 1980s, the Italian company exploded creatively. They used only the best gemstones and with a refined craft, they created state-of-the-art jewellery for the famous and wealthy. The colourful jewellery was regularly seen on the cover of Interview Magazine, a magazine that Andy Warhol co-founded.
› A combination with two colliers in 18K gold set with faceted sapphires and round brilliant-cut diamonds
› A Bulgari ”Trombino” ring in platinum set with a step-cut emerald and round brilliant- and baguette-cut diamonds.
In the 1930s, Bulgari created the ring ‘Trombino’, 'trumpet' in English, a model that they only use for coloured jewels of the best quality. Elizabeth Taylor was often seen with her Trombino ring with a blue sapphire. The ring represented by Bukowskis at this season’s Important Winter Sale is instead adorned by a magnificent emerald that was most likely mined in Colombia, whose mythical emeralds has adorned maharajas and queens.

With a unique aesthetic and interesting combinations of diamonds, emeralds, pearls, tiger eye gemstones and ceramics, Bulgari is redefining exclusive jewellery. The founder Sotirois Voulgaris’s successor continued the tradition of creating creative and trendsetting jewellery, which can be seen in today’s modern collection – a collection that feels as timeless as the earlier pieces that form part of Bukowskis exclusive collection.
