Opening hours: tue–fri 11–5pm, sat 11–3pm
Discover an exhibition curated by Magniberg, an internationally acclaimed design group whom during Design Week in Stockholm manifests their creative universe in collaboration with Bukowskis. The exhibition includes a selection of art and design from Bukowskis, side by side with Magniberg's daring textiles and colourful cubistic furniture. Carl Larsson, Bram Bogart, Axel Einar Hjorth, Sven Markelius, oriental porcelain alongside white Egyptian cotton, classic oxford stripes, washed jersey and poplin with mother of pearl buttons – two contrasting worlds in a new innovative context.
A close collaboration between the Nordic region's leading auction house and Magniberg, which results in a meeting with a common desire to inspire and demonstrate that the new does not exclude the elderly. The exhibition highlights the issue of sustainability from a new perspective with a focus on art, quality craftsmanship and timeless design that extends from the early 1900s to the present. A design language that also draws inspiration from artists such as Robert Mapplethorpe, Wolfgang Tillmans, David Hamilton and Bettina Rheims, Carl and Karin Larsson. A creative expression and an emotional aesthetic that is manifested here in an exhibition together with Bukowskis.
Magniberg is a design duo consisting of Bengt Thornefors with long experience as a designer at, among others, Acne Studios and Saint Laurent, as well as Nina Kim Charlotte Norgren with background as a graphic designer and florist. Interview with Magniberg >
