The artist, architect, and designer Pierre Jeanneret was born in 1896 in Geneva. Two years after graduating from the École des Beaux-Arts, he opened an architectural firm in Paris with his cousin, the world-famous Le Corbusier. The cousins worked together for many years. Among other things, they published the manifesto "Five Points of Architecture" in 1926 where they presented their aesthetic vision. In 1928, they built The villa Savoy outside Paris. The villa represents the duo's stylistic ideology.
The two cousins also formed a creative trio with Charlotte Perriand, and they designed several pieces of furniture together.
