Krackelyr. Spridda smärre retuscher (framförallt i himlen och gossen i förgrunden med ryggen vänd mot betraktaren samt den blonda flickan till höger om honom). Höger kortsida mot ram med något större sammanhängande längre retusch).
With the artist until his death; the artist's deceased estate; Drouot, Paris, Sale, 23 September 1895, lot 3 (”Les Orphelins”); acquired at that sale by the Swedish artist August Hagborg (1852-1921); sold by him, around 1900, to Wholesaler Per Lamm (1854-1908), Paris; sold by his widow in 1939 to Institut Tessin, Bibliothèque et Musée d´Art Suédois à Paris, with them until 1945; Rapps konsthandel (Rapp's Art Dealership), Stockholm (sold in 1947); subsequently in a Swedish private collection until 2020.
