The upholstered chairs and barstools have both iconic and sculptural qualities intended to acknowledge the Artifort classics, yet they also work well with our Palladio* tables, 2016 and the Palladio shelves, 2017.
We have strived to achieve a soft, rather rounded, contemporary expression. It is proportioned to be both inviting and offer a good level of comfort. As well as the sculptural qualities of the design, the main feature is the way the legs rise up between the upholstered parts in a distinctive manner. This allows the possibility to play with colours/fabrics in combination with the leg frame. The chair comes in two versions – Andrea and Andrea lounge whereas the barstool comes in two heights.
*Andrea Palladio (1508-1580) is known to be one of the most influential architects in Western architecture. His architectural works have been valued for centuries as the quintessence of High Renaissance calm and harmony.
