A Private Contemporary Art Collection F490

The auction A Private Contemporary Art Collection reflects a young couple's journey into art over the past 20 years. The passion to live with art, to dare the necessary and trust their intuition permeates the purchases. There is a bold openness and curiosity towards visual expression and different media. We find works of a more technological nature, such as sculptures and paintings, with the same naturalness.

The couple's journey began in the younger Nordic art scene in the mid-2000s, and their presence and support coincided with the emergence of a new generation of Swedish galleries - Crystal Palace, Elastic Gallery, Johan Berggren Gallery, Lundgren Gallery, Belenius/Nordenhake and, a little later, Carl Kostyal. In the dialog with these gallerists, the couple also came to meet international art through the galleries' orientation towards participating in international art fairs.

The couple have lived and breathed art by traveling to exhibitions and art fairs in all corners of the world. This is clearly reflected in the selection of works now being sold. The auction is a good opportunity to acquire works by internationally well-established artists such as Alex Da Corte, Jacolby Satterwhite, Goldin+Senneby and Martin Soto Climent as well as a possible new generation of artists from our exciting and multifaceted contemporary world.
