Karl Harald Garmland born in Stockholm was a Swedish painter and theatre decorator.
Garmland studied at Edward Berggren's School of Painting and the Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm from 1926 to 1928, as well as on study trips to France, where he attended the Académie Colarossi, and to the Netherlands and England. He was hired as a theatre decorator at Södra Teaterns Revy in 1929 and continued over the years with theatre decorations for, among others, Ernst Rolf at China Theater, the Oscar Theatre, the Blanche Theatre and the Royal Opera.
His art consists of easel painting with figure compositions, landscapes and a large number of theatre decorations.
Garmland is represented at Nationalmuseum, Eskilstuna konstmuseum, Lund University, Scenkonstmuseet, Museum of Theatre Art in New York and the music conservatory in Rio de Janerio.
