The museum ship Suomen Joutsen (sw. "Swan of Finland", formerly Laënnec and most recently Oldenburg) is a former training ship in the Finnish navy. Suomen Joutsen is a frigate built in steel and is a full rigger with three masts. It was built in 1902 in St. Nazaire in France and was originally named after the famous 18th century physician René Laënnec. The ship was initially engaged in cargo traffic across the Atlantic and the Pacific, until the Finnish state bought it in 1930 as a training ship for the fleet. Before the Second World War, the ship managed to make 8 longer ocean voyages.
