Worn and soiled contemporary pigskin, slanted spine with raised bands, clasps and catches preserved. A charming copy, very richly annotated in text and endleaves in one or more early hands. Some slight soiling and staining, but fine. Later unidentified bookplate.
Not in Adams. This version, edited by Massaggius, was first published in 1555 and again in 1557.
