Peter Dahl, lithograph in colours, signed PT.
"Stolta stad". P. 59 x 89 cm.
Not examined out of the frame.
In 1984, Peter Dahl painted events and stories, originating from Carl Michael Bellman's Fredman's Epistles, both as monumental oil paintings and in lithographs.
"Överfärden - Stolta stad", which depicts Father Movitz's sailing trip to Djurgården with Ulla Winblad, is Peter Dahl's by far the most famous and sought-after work of art and Bellman interpretation.
The original painting, the three-part "Överfärden - Stolta stad" was sold by Bukowskis for the record price of SEK 5.7 million on April 26, 2005. The painting was purchased by the Åland entrepreneur and art collector Anders Wiklöf. The artwork now hangs at Anders Wiklöf's art museum Andersudde on Åland.
