Peter Dahl, watercolour, signed and dated -80
I. 44 x 34 cm.
Not examined out of the frame.
The auction's watercolor, dated 1980, is one of Peter Dahl's early interpretations of Bellman's "Fredman's epistles".
In the watercolor of the auction, Father Movitz is seen musically entertaining Ulla Winbladh and her friend in the green park.
Peter Dahl's extensive Bellman project with paintings and lithographs was exhibited in 1984, but as early as 1982, the newspaper Dagens Nyheter was able to reveal that Peter Dahl had begun the work on his extensive Bellman project. The interpretations of Fredman's Epistles were Peter Dahl's popular breakthrough in Sweden.
