A fine glazed ten-lobed lotus bowl, gently curved sides, smooth transition from one petal lobe to the next, all on a foot. Diameter 12 cm.
A rabbits fur glazed tea bowl in brown and black hues. Diameter 10 cm.
Wear, old gilded resotrations to rim. Crazings. Fritts.
The brown and black hues of tea bowls were considered among the best colors for enhancing the chartreuse color of tea that had been whisked into white foam. Wares produced at the Jian kilns in Fujian Province were used exclusively for the drinking of tea.
