99 etchings by Zorn

In this theme auction, we have the pleasure to present a wide range of etchings by Anders Zorn. The motifs span his entire repertoire of motifs from friendship portraits to nude acts.
Few other artists can demonstrate the same skill in several different techniques as Anders Zorn. More can hardly be said about his enormous talent for painting in oil or watercolour, his lightness with a brush on canvas and as an etcher, few surpass him. At the time of his death, Zorn had composed over 280 etchings where some go back to paintings while others are created directly for the plate.

At the turn of the century, Bukowskis had the exclusive right to sell the valuable etchings by Zorn.

The auction etchings come from a prominent private collection of Zorn prints and include a wide range of etchings.
