Paris, Petit, 1507. 4to. 20 x 13,5 cm. 30 leaves. Woodcut printer’s device on title. With full-page woodcut portrait of Bede in his study.
Recent marbled wrappers, worn and edges frayed. First half with almost invisible repair of a marginal wormhole.
First printed at Venice in 1505, this is a scarce early edition of Bede’s important treatise on chronology, which established the custom of counting years from the birth of Jesus Christ.
