Spring Wedding

”Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and six pence in her shoe” is a traditional rhyme from Great Britain that details what a bride should wear at her wedding for good luck. The old item provided protection for the baby to come. The item borrowed from another happy bride provided good luck. The colour blue was a sign of fidelity and the six pence — a silver British coin — was a symbol of prosperity. The superstition is known since 1883 when it was attributed to the county of Lancashire. In our theme auction called Spring Wedding you will find old and new jewellery with sparkling diamonds, shimmering pearls and blue sapphires. The auction also includes four bridal crowns made in Gothenburg and Falköping along with un-set diamonds, which are perfectly suited for someone who wants to make their own ring or piece of jewellery.
