Danish porcelain has been popular in Sweden ever since the factory Royal Copenhagen was founded by the Danish Queen Juliane Marie in 1775. Early on the factory started to produce figurines and dinner services inspired by the great European porcelain manufactories of the time. The other major factory in Denmark was Bing & Gröndal which was founded 1853 by Fredrik Vilhelm Gröndahl, the factory merged with Royal Copenhagen in 1987. They reach the top of their greatness in the early 20th Century when they had several great designers working for them. The items from both of these firms became popular gifts and sought-after collectables. Welcome to explore porcelaine objects which have been a part of Henrik Petrini’s private collection!
