POST-WAR SWEDISH DESIGN
POST-WAR CLASSICS GO UNDER THE HAMMER. In autumn 2016, the FOLKHEMSFORM exhibition at Falkenberg Museum featured post-war Swedish design, giving visitors the chance to see famous and lesser known furnishings from the period. The exhibition showcased several items of furniture, their designers and their manufacturers, and all the auction’s pieces were displayed as part of the exhibition. These include quirky items such as IKEA’s enormous Q 56 seat, Reino Ruokolainen’s Stugo armchair, and chair no. 405 from AB. S Ljungqvist Furniture Factory. The auction also includes pieces by more famous furniture designers like David Rosén and Stig Lindberg.
