"ZEVS "
80 x 46 cm.
Zevs' Visual Attacks on big name brands such as Coco Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent is an attack on commercialism, and also a political statement. In 2002, Zevs became famous for his intervention in Berlin, when he cut out a nearly nude nude model from a gigantic Lavazza-poster. This created a big hole in the poster, disrupting the commercialized narrative. Above the hole he wrote: "VISUAL KIDNAPPING – PAY NOW!" A street action, published soon after on youtube, which dazzled both art lovers and political activists. / Fredrik Anthony
