This themed auction of antique books features, among other items, Repton's lavish gardening book "Observations on the Theory and Practice of Landscape Gardening" (1803), with interesting provenance from Säfstaholm. Many of the fine colour plates have liftable flaps that show proposed landscape alterations. Other notable books include a "Svecia antiqua et hodierna" with the plates in unusually good condition, several classic editions and books by Linnaeus, as well as a complete copy of Schützercrantz & Wetterling's large-format coloured plate work on Swedish uniforms (1824-5). Additionally, there is a fine example of the hand-coloured bibliophile edition of Wright's "Swedish Birds," and an intriguing guestbook from Birger Mörner's Mauritzberg, maintained by Gabriella Möllerberg ("Pyret"), with handwritten contributions from Ellen Key, Carl Milles, and Verner von Heidenstam, among others.
