Plåtmanufaktur AB, Stockholm. Possibly commissioned by the company's CEO Knut Laurin (1909-1970), who took up his position in 1943, and was also a regular customer at Nordiska Kompaniet.
NK's chief architect Axel Einar Hjorth designed the "Caesar" model series in 1928. The present cabinet is based upon that series and is part of a larger interior commissioned by Plåtmanufaktur AB in 1943. The drawing in NK's customer ledger in the archives of Nordiska Museet is dated July 19, 1943.
