Of rectangular shape, marked with metal tag SVENSKT TENN STOCKHOLM. Length 80 cm, width 65 cm, height 73 cm.

Alkuperä - Provenienssi

Professor Bengt Häger (1916-2011), Stockholm.
Thence by descent to the current owner.

Häger was a prominent dance critic and writer. He served as the chairman of Dansfrämjandet (the Dance Promotion Association) from 1944 to 1964 and was the museum director for Les Archives internationales de la Danse in Paris in the late 1940s, founded by close friend Rolf de Maré. Together with de Maré, he founded Dansmuseet (the Dance Museum) in Stockholm and was its curator from 1953 to 1989. He also presided over the dance section within UNESCO from 1977 to 1988. Häger was awarded the honorary title of professor in 1985.
