A Swedish Rococo 21 carat gold box, mark of Frantz Bergs (active 1725-1777).
21K, cartouche shape, richly decorated. Cover with a figure scene framed with rocailles and volutes. Sides decorated with rocailles and foliage, base with classical architecture and putti with dog and rocailles. Miniature painting under glass to the interior of the lid depicting antique sacrificial scene. Length 6.2, height 2.3 cm. Total weight 82 grams.
