Released back in 1943, the Patek Philippe ref. 1578 stands out primarily due to its exquisite "spider" lugs. This reference remained in production until around 1965 and was exclusively offered in either 18K yellow or pink gold cases, crafted by Wenger. There were two distinct variations available: one with small seconds and another with center seconds. For those with center seconds, the 1st Series were equipped with the caliber 12 SC. The 2nd series featured the caliber 27SC.
