Amara Muñoz, better known by her artistic name Amara Por Dios, born on April 16, 1988 in Stockholm, is a Swedish street artist primarily active in London and Stockholm. Her creative process began as a kind of intuitive storytelling, where as a child, Amara could sit for hours and disappear into her own visual worlds. The characters that lived there came from other worlds and planets. Her relationship with these worlds is something that Amara has deepened and further developed in her artistry. Her motifs are inspired by mythologies, religions, and folk art from around the world. At a young age, she discovered graffiti culture and moved to London in 2012. There, she had the opportunity to paint in public spaces and establish herself as an artist. She was recognized by The Guardian as one of Britain's leading street artists and was invited by Tate Modern to paint live.
