A large famille rose and scrafitto landscape vase, Qing dynasty, with Qianlong seal mark in red.

Of lantern shape, a cylindrical body rising to a waisted neck, interior of rim in turkoise glaze. The exterior with two panels with landscapes in enamel colour against a white sgrafitto ground. The base with Qianlong seal mark in red against a white glaze. Height 36.5 cm.

Wear. Scratch/hairline.

Alkuperä - Provenienssi

This vase was purchased by the Collectors father in Stockholm, previously in the Sadelin Collection. Label below reads. No. 108i. Sadelins Kina-Samling Stockholm. 23/12 1926. ChienLung (1736-1795).

A private collection of Asian Ceramics. The collection was brought together by a Swedish gentleman with a career at within the Swedish Foreign Ministry. During the years posted in various countries in Asia the interest of Fine Art and Asian Art that he had with him from home developed and an academic study collection was formed. Friendships and alliances were made within the field that even resulted in arranging gest lectures for Mr Abu Rihdo, of M-useum Pusat, Jakarta at the East Asian Museum in Stockholm in 1981.
