Muut tiedot

“Slätte Möbler - Swedfurn - works for high pressure, has hired around 20 this winter and has had to turn down several orders.
Swedfurn also participated, as the only Swedish company, in London at Earls Court and had great success there. The export share is now over 50%. With an export assistant like charming Maud Hagström, who
sitting in one of the successful chairs - I. Skoogs and Tage Georges Super 73 - it is easy to understand the successes. "
This was reported by Möbelvärlden's editor-in-chief Holger Norlin in the article
"Jag gick runt med Kameran på mässan" (I walked around the camera at the far), published in the newspaper's third issue in 1972. Norlin had visited the Swedish Furniture Fair and there Maud Hagström immortalized in Swedfurn AB Slätte Möbler's stand. Hagström sat in the Super 73 armchair, a model that received some attention this year. It appeared, among other things, in the article Formplast AB builds and starts injection molding, published in the sixth issue of Plastvärlden in 1972. Here the readers were informed that Formplast AB
manufactured the “seat bowl” for Swedfurn AB Slätte Möbler. The material was vacuum-formed impact-resistant styrene plastic. Formplast AB had been established 20 years earlier by director Bo Andrén and initially focused production on thermoformed articles. In 1972, the business was expanded and in the early summer
an extension of the factory was taken into use. At this time, the company had, among other things, display racks and lighting domes but also furniture
on the program. The seat bowl for the Super 73 was made of styrene plastic sheets with the dimensions 2000 x 1000 x 8 mm. Tage Georg was a pseudonym for Tage Bengtsson and Georg Zackrisson who were active in the company's model workshop.
