Foundry mark L Rasmussen, København. Executed 1925-1926. Bronze, dark/green patina. Height 79 cm (including stone pedestal height 153 cm).

The Minister, diplomat and Baron Erik Palmstierna was a close friend of Carl and Olga Milles and he received the sculpture as a gift from the couple in 1953. He took it with him to England were it was placed in his garden in Ewelme, near Oxford.
