Rolf Rickard Thies' private home, Furuboda, Skåne, Sweden, executed 1977-2006.
Rolf Thies (1927-2019). Architect, he began his training in Karlsruhe, he came to Sweden in the 1950s to continue to study architecture at KTH in Stockholm.
He remained in Stockholm and started his own architectural firm in 1960. During the 1970s, he became internationally known for his urban planning proposals. During the later part of his professional career he mainly designed private houses and villas. The furniture he designed was mainly for his own use and nothing came in further production.
