Barbro Nilsson
A TAPESTRY, "Guldhästen", a tapestry variant, ca 242,5 x 228 cm, signed AB MMF BN
(AB Märta Måås-Fjetterström, Barbro Nilsson). A sewn on label at the back: Vävd på Barbro Nilssons verkstad, N:a Smedjegat 21, Stockholm, av Edith Johansson, Eva Ekeblad och Theresia Larsson. Designed in 1966. In all the seven designs ordered by Sydsvenska Kraft AB there is the mythological animal "Bäckahästen" as a symbol for the natural forces. Several patterns have metal threads. (Unique). A similar tapestry with the Golden horse was woven to the National Bank of Sweden in 1968, but this is mirrored and has another border.
Slightly faded and dirty, insignificantly worn, minor stains and damages.
