Palisander, three drawers, space with green suede velour (intended for a typewriter), one side with extendable writing pad, marked metal label AB NORDISKA KOMPANIET R 34512- C22246. Length 115 cm including handle, depth 57 cm cm, height 62 -85 cm, open, height 74 cm. Chair, palisander, seat with padded cushion and curved back, light green velvet upholstery, the chair label marked AB NORDISKA KOMPANIET R 34513-C22246.
Restored, later wooden linings, reupholstered.

Architect Carl Hörvik's drawing is dated 12 04 1929. The Stockholm Exhibition is stated as the commissioner.
Carl Hörvik (1882-1954)
Architect, an innovative furniture designer. Hörvik was a co-companion with Gunnar Asplund at the Royal Institute of Technology and Hörvik was considered one of the greatest architectural talents in his generation and Gunnar Asplund is said to have been insprired by Hörvik.
Carl Hörvik opened his own architectural office in Stockholm in 1914.
He participated in the interior design of the Röhsska Museum, Gothenburg in 1916.
Hörvik was one of those who participated in the Verkstadens utställning ( The Association's workshop) at Liljevalch in 1920. His furniture group in policorned birch was considered unusually progressive at the time.
At the Jubilee Exhibition (Jubileumsutställningen) in Gothenburg in 1923, Carl Hörvik showed an airy hall decor with a Chinese appeal, held in gray. Large, generous armchairs along with tight stools.
Hörvik also designed furniture for the Nordiska Kompaniet and participated with them at the World Exhibition in Paris with an interior that stands out as unusually luxurious in his oeuvre.
Hörvik was awarded a Grand Prix medal in gold for those furniture.
He designed the Swedish student home in Paris in 1931 and the county residence in Umeå in 1932.
For a number of years, Hörvik also designed furniture for the Hantverklotterier in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.
