The initials are possibly for Jacob Sahlgren (1685-1736) and Birgitta Ekmarck (1694-1771). The engraving and dating are possibly a memory of the first Sugar Company in Swedin, runned by Jacob Sahlgren and Birgitta Sahlgren in Gothenburg and which started in 1732.
