A red ground with a large polychrome medallion, stylized flower urns, palmettes and corner ornaments. A dark blue main border with a palmette, arabesque, pomegranate and flower vine.
Some partly hard wear, dirty, minor stains, insignificant mothdamages. The sides and ends have fold wear and minor damages.
The carpet was bought in Hamburg in the early 1920's by the businessman C. Fritz Eelde and his wife Anna. C. Fritz Eelde worked with well-known Swedish liquor assortments. The second owner was the son director Harald Eelde. The carpet has as the villa in a nice part outside Stockholm's city center, where the carpet was laying in the drawing room, stayed in the family for three generations.
