A large famille rose vase, Qing dynasty, with Qianlong sealmark.

Baluster shape, bambooshaped handles. Decorated with lotusscroll, bats and a landscape scene with animals. Height 58 cm.

Alkuperä - Provenienssi

From the Collection of Carl-Fredrik Eriksson (1878-1943). CF Eriksson were employed by Svenska Diamantborrnings Aktiebolaget and came too travel the world where is expertise in drilling and mining were needed, he worked in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Russia, China and Japan amongst other places. He lived and worked in China during 1914-1917 when he acquired these pieces. He is well mentioned by his Swedish contemporaries in China and were good friends and colleagues with men such as Johan Gunnar Andersson, Dr F Tegengren and Gustaf Wallenberg. He worked with Johan Gunnar Andersson for the Chinese government in trying to find ore deposits. The Chinese called him “the quite man in the forrest”.
