Earlier in Count Carl Gustaf Tessins collection, Åkerö estate, Sweden. Bought by his nephew Count Fredrik Sparre.

The pastel is mentioned in C. G. Tessins own list from 1741 with the price of 556 livres.
In the Åkerö inventory from 1757 the pastel is mentioned as "Venetianskt Portrait".
