A fine export pierced 'famille-rose' dish, Qing dynasty, Qianlong (1736-1795).
Finely painted in the centre with two long-tailed birds perched in the branches of a pomegranate tree growing besides peonies and a pierced blue rock, the well pierced and painted to simulate bamboo. Diameter 21,5 cm.

Due to his knowledge and sense of quality he was of great help to many of the members on Kinaklubben (The China Club) with members such as the Swedish Crown Prince Gustav Adolf, Emil Hultmark and Carl Kempe. The collection is mainly acquired in Sweden and London.
