MATTA. Vävd i linvarp och hjortskinn. 285 x 118 cm. Design av Maria Silfverschiöld. Handvävd av Vandra Rugs.

Vävd av belgisk naturfärgad linvarp och hjortskinn från Koberg (restprodukter från Koberg vilt).

Maria Silfverschiöld egen presentation: She was born in Falsterbo which is surrounded by white sandy beaches, golfcourses and great spots for windsurfing. This surrounding made a strong impact on her great interest in adventures and sports.

She moved to Los Angeles after school and as a surfer she designed and produced garments for a local surfshop, was employed at Banana Republic. This insight of functional but yet good looking garment was important for the future career designing functional sports and casualwear that has been her trade mark for many years.

Maria Silfverschiöld has a degree in Pattern making and studies in International Marketing in Stockholm. Started at the buying office at H&M early 90s. The concept and brand of LOGG Sport was in the beginning and with the interest in and timing of sport and fashion together the concept grew substantially.
After eleven years with H&M Silfverschiöld started as a Freelance designer and designed the house brands for Team Sportia.

Passionate about the outdoor lifestyle and the appreciation of the natural resources offered by the freeliving game in the forests around the estate of Koberg from where her husband operates, she initiated Koberg Vilt creating meat products of high quality with combining inspiration of design and spices from travelling around the world with the interest in well-beeing she developed the products of naturally produced food with a designed packaging.
Koberg Vilt won Pentawards design price for the label 2009 that was created by Silver Design bureau 2007.

Working with the deerskins as a bi-product from Koberg Vilt she develops products for not only garments but interior design such as this Rag-Rug for Vandra.
Vegatable tanned deer skin feels obvious to work with in times of demand for sustainable and environmental friendly production.
