Bukowski's acclaimed watch auction "Important Timepieces" presented 85 exclusive watches that were sold for a total final price of SEK 12 million with an average price of SEK 141,400.
The results show that Bukowskis reaches an international audience and has a selection that attracts buyers and sellers at the absolute highest level. The auction's top lot was no less than the space flown "Omega Speedmaster" worn by Christer Fuglesang during his spaceflight STS-128 on the space shuttle Discovery during the voyage to the International Space Station ISS in 2009.
– This is a new record for a watch of this model that belongs to the exclusive club of watches that have been in space. It was an auction out of the ordinary, and we are happy about the continued trust from our customers, says Carl Palmegren, Responsible specialist watches.
This season's anniversary auction for watches included an extensive collection of Rolex, along with a mix of vintage watches and modern classics from the most sought-after watch manufacturers such as Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Omega and Heuer.
– Rolex is always popular at our auctions and the evening's success for the brand shows that watches of the highest quality never run out of time, says Johanna Graflund, assistant watch specialist.
Additional highlights in tonight's anniversary auction were an Omega, Speedmaster, chronograph, "Tachymètre - Base 1000", a "Tropical Dial", Universal Geneva, Polarouter, "SAS Dial", "Ludvig" Ludde "Lindgren" and a Patek Philippe, Nautilus for which all sold high above estimates.
