The cutlery pattern Altfaden, also known as "Augsburger Faden," has its roots in the 17th Century as a variant of the "Spaten" form. This particular model was designed by Gottfried Koch and has been produced by Koch & Bergfeld since the company was founded in 1829, without any changes to its design.
