Case in imitation tortoiseshell, or faux tortoise, with inlays in Boulle technique of patterned loops in pewter, richly ornamented fittings in gilded brass and bronze, brass dial with white enamelled Roman numeral indices, approximately 37x17.5x79 cm, with base height about 99 cm. Key included.

Console with additions. Inlays showing wear and repairs. Not function tested. Wear commensurate with age and use. Not thoroughly examined.
